I had a design for a paintball machine gun but I never built it because of the lack of money. Basically by using eithor a 3/4" QEV or a solenoid valve, along with a small chamber to accumulate air pressure (I'm thinking aproximately a 1:1 ratio between the chamber and the tee). The affect of this de...

I paint all of my spudguns using Rustoleum (sp?) paint. It's designed for metal so it sticks great on plastic and leaves a nice metalic sheen. Also I always sand my components with fine grade sand paper and make sure everything is nice and smooth before painting. Also the texture created by the sand...

Also I'd like to know how the projectile on your design is able to flip the switch without leaving a gap for p...

New Drop Type Mortar design
I have seen several drop type mortar designs on the spudtech forum and I thought of a better way to make one. First of all rather than using any kind of ball it would use a D-Cell Battery in a 1 1/4" SCH40 pipe. The Mortar would use a safety pin (probably a 5/16" bolt) and a pull chord in order to d...

I would recommend that you use a 1/8" NPT Tap in order to thread the hole you are using for the tire valve (note: drill a 21/64" hole). Then to seal the valve use some teflon tape. As far as your air supply you should definately use an air compressor. CO2 can be dangerous and expensive. If you have ...

MAP Gas
I have a combustion cannon that uses propane and i was interested in upgrading to MAP Gas. Does anyone have any information regarding the safety of this activity, as well as the percentage of gas by volume that should be used?
