Buying second hand you will get incredible bang for your buck...if you know what you are buying. If space is the deciding factor......buy a used small lathe. If you use carbide cutters you won't need coolant. If you are threading....a different story. If you are cutting PVC and plastic ..... forget ...

Don't buy new! Buy used. Bigger is always better...... If I had the choice between a long ways and short ways I'd go with the short length lathe. The 3 in 1 lathes always attracted my interests but I've never used one and quality always seemed compromised. The fact of the matter is....with some rese...

Sorry there, Ragnarok.
However, attributing the term "little cock" might be a bit much.

- If you are 54 years old and can relate to every item on 19 pages of this website. - You errantly find the topic of spudding on wiki and you know most of the contributing writers. - You dream about building a R/C projectile. - You think Pumpkin Chunkin would be a grand sport if it weren't for the s...

I'd make it longer next time.

Shoot a beer can at a big rock. Unless it hits square on the top or bottom, you cannot find any part of the can.

Turns to aluminum mist.

Pretty cool stuff. Fun for all!

Got an e-mail alert somebody posted on this topic. The Waterdawg™ is still alive and kicking. I don't have as much time as I used to to screw off on projects like this. I recognize clide and pimpman. Hows everybody doing? I thought building cannons fell off the edge of the Earth Is Joel still alive?

DesignGuy, Here is my take on this. I know Joel. I've have purchased valves from him. Great guy. We've talked at length about biz and other stuff. The market place abhors a vacuum. This is America and somebody with the right stuff will move in to fill the void. It could be you, me, DR, Gort or 1000'...

"schmanman"~no, I have broken it using paintballs, etc. I did'nt bother to post it here because every time I talk about this gun, I am accused of bragging, and a bunch of people get angry/try to flame me, etc. yeah, I'll try to bend the barrel back into place. I like it! You can ...and you should t...

Am, That cannon inspired me too! I think the Mega design is good for any size cannon except I would change the design so when you are practicing Redneck Roulette and shooting straight up in the air....the force from the cannon is straight down into the ground as you see with my cannon. It's good str...

"ShowNoMercy"~Actually, during WWII the merchant marine had the highest loss of life for graduates, more than the marines, army, and navy. And yes I wont agrue that the Coast Guard is essential to our nation's defense, however they are our enemys when we are at school. So I am a tad bit biased :win...

"pyromanic13~why is "liberal" being thrown around like a bad thing? ......and BTW can we just assume no body is offended by anything we say because all this apologizing is making me sick. A-98~Don't develop a grudge. NO need to raise your voice....shore up your argument.

If liberals stood for common sense, American values and supported the constitution when THEY were in power....I would be one.

Start hating me now or ban me.
