The hopup will slow the BB down a little bit but any loss in velocity will easily be made up for in the range you gain from the the backspin. Also when it comes to accuracy high quality BBs as well as a good barrel will play a big part. This might help you with the hopup as it shows some of the inte...

ah.... I was unaware that the bottom of the piston is exposed to the input pressure. Very interesting. I think my pump can only do 400 because it was designed for what I believe to be the lower pressure automotive refrigerant as well as only needing to run for short periods of time.

I would think that the only thing that determines flow and pressure is the containment. If the output is fed into a pressure vessel as the pressure increases the flow decreases as a higher pressure gas is left in the piston on each stroke meaning less gas is put in the piston on the intake. But I've...

Being 17 (18 in 13 days) I have to agree that although not fully attributed to games and internet they have a strong influence. I have seen many of my friends fall into the mainstream life of hours on the xbox and facebook every five seconds but for me it lacks the creativity I crave. For me I can't...

Use of autococker valve for a pilot, weird GGDT valve data

After looking on ebay for a valve for my airsoft sniper rifle I found this . In function it seems perfect to function in a semi-auto manner but it's seemingly very small orifice might cause problems. The gun's chamber diameter is only 1.5 in and the piston stroke is very small. I think that the pist...

Pellet gun hybrid?

Sorry if this is has already been brought up but the search gives like 500 results. Has anyone ever tried to convert a pump pellet rifle into a hybrid? A micro igniter like a glow plug from a RC car or a timed, constant, or rapid spark gap right after the valve then just inject fuel when you pump it...

What's wrong with PVC? I prefer to machine things out of billet aluminum too, but for just a "keep in car cannon".

You could use the roof rack but that might be a bit odd. How about a coaxial, maybe with a sling and the pilot on the end so you can whack it to fire.

I was trying to link to the reviews part of that page. I don't know how easy it is to adjust the pressure on a Palmers reg but as long as you don't tip both the reg and the tank upside down you shouldn't have any liquid problems. And unless you want more precise pressure you can just order the reg w...

Why? I know you have experience with vortex guns and am just curious what affect the vortex diameter has on the guns performance.

some of my favorite cheap ammo

I don't know if these were ever suggested or how commonly used they are but here are some of my favorites: -empty tennis ball tubes in 3 inch barrels, they litter the tennis courts and they work well with heavy/hard objects taped to the end -liquid nails tubes in 2 in -compressed snow any size -ice ...

I think I'll stick to the sound barrier for now...... I'm thinking compressed hydrogen.
I like the road trip idea but these U.S. laws on having friends in the car will make me wait a year.
