Check out my coax ... I've had a pressure rated 3" cap as the piston with no bumper for more than a year... It hasn't broken yet... :? Yet.. Give it a few more shots. The end cap on the back of my Marshmallow Cannon finally failed after a year of hard use. Be carefull to be clear of flying objects ...

Looks good. For the leak, I've had luck with sanding/filing and then running some superglue over the leak. Let that dry good and then put epoxy over it. Make sure you let the epoxy dry for at least 24 hours... I'm not sure why how the superglue helps but it really does. I guess it might fill in the ...
