Nice. I have a similar launcher..but mine is in-line.

What are the specs on your metering device (syringe and fueling device)? I have some problems with my regulator...was wondering if you had better success?

Finishing up my build

Does anyone have any good ideas on how to mount my project box to my chamber? I could use a band, but I was hoping for a nicer looking alternative. Also, should I keep both ends of the chamber accessible (I can open them up some how) in case of some kind of failure in which I would have to replace a...

Ok, I think I got it. Now to ask an obvious question.

How would you know which valve would perform better by design (in say a smaller cannon)? By testing it, or would the GGDT be able to predict the performance?

Educate Me: Why wouldn't you use a QEV?

I've been looking through old posts, and noticed that most of the launchers can be lumped into one of these categories: ball valve, sprinkler valve, diagphragm valve, piston valve, and quick exhaust valves. (I'm not sure if burst disks count as a valve?) I realize that QEVs are more expensive. But, ...

If you're gonna make a handle, make it so everything can fit in there, and hide all the electrodes under the tee/saddle. Also instead of strapping it on, just use 2 nice wood screws. That is the idea. If you decide to use a box, get a smaller one from Radio Shack and mount it with 2 machine screws ...

Lol. The size of the sparker was my biggest problem..but it runs off of one aa battery, and can throw down some good sparks.

I thinking that I will do away with the box, and hide everything in a handle I make...it will cover all of the wires. Then, when I paint it..it will look awesome.

Cleaning my cannon up...

I finished my first cannon, and it looks kind of ghetto. I wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions for improvements. Currently: Inline spray and pray launcher 3''x14'' to 1.5''x60'' (C:B .85:1) 3'' computer fan BBQ Sparker Chamber-Short for two gaps Going to add: Going to redo the wiring - aes...

Thanks. I am using a sparker like this one(below). It's a real pain to get in it's housing. But, reliable.

Insulation?

When you put your screws in for the fan or sparkers, are you insulating or reinforcing the screws?

I'm thinking about epoxying the screws in place. I know I won't get zapped that way.
