Possibly. The valve stem varies in that the button is slightly shorter than that of a regular paintball tank. It is also somewhat harder to press down, so to speak. That would be the only difference. It certainly will fit. But the valve system for a sodastream is slightly different to a paintball tank. The threading will be exactly the same however. I know this because I too own a paintball tank and a sodastream tank and have compared the two before.

The tank already has an in built valve that only needs to be pressed to release the gas, and this gas gets release around the rod.

I have an idea of what you mean, but words are often open for interpretation unlike diagrams.

In the first diagram you can see a barrel, and a tube that holds the BBs.

What I usually use is rubber tubing between the two tubes, taped up with sticky string tightened around the rubber.
