I got some damage pics, I found a piece of plywood only 2mm short of 1/2''. I used .45cal leadball and patch @ 400psi. Aimed at the 3'' target at 20feet, then boom felt a jerk from the recoil and there was a hole in the target. The entry and exit plywood wounds. There was a lot more splinter at the ...

I noticed my valve was not opening fully & fast enough, so today I just doubled the bands. Now it takes some effort to cock but the performance is much better.

Here's a video of the firing action:

I finally got my shock pump, brands RockShox. Don't know if it's good, but so far holds up pretty well. It's max psi is 400 but trying to go beyond 350psi takes too much effort, it's killing me. So far I find 300psi comfortable, I mean not so back breaking and pumping 4x in a row killed me, now my a...

Thanks, I'm using elastic bands so it's easy to control how fast the valve opens by making the bands more powerful or less powerful. yeah high pressure is a must

Another update: Made it a little lighter by cutting the front, did a little sanding, and I spray painted it black.

The guns actually ready, just needs a shock pump.

Here's a fiberglass paper cone I made to withstand high pressures. It's made by layering 3 layers of fiberglass tape atop a piece of paper.

I'll be sure to look into that. Is a stirrup-pump better thank a bike shock-pump? Easier to pump to high psi?

Yeah I was looking to get that sort of pump. My chamber is 1/2''x8'' I think it's 35cm3. Is the difference of 100psi and 300psi huge in the same chamber. How much more power do you guy experience?

400psi pumping effort

If I were to use one of those mountain bike shock pumps to pump up my air-chamber. How much effort would it take to pump it up to 300-400psi? Do I really need to be strong? Is it a work out when it starts reaching the high pressures?

Labtecpower very nice gun and trigger mech. I like the threaded bolt with the hook I'll see if I can find that, very nice idea I used to use just a bolt to hold the bands to my trigger for my previous one. Anyway thanks for the  I'm planning to use black zip ties. Should I spray paint it black...

I will, I was planning to spring it open, this is gun is still unfinished. I will use a strong elastic instead of a spring, cause I can't find a spring lol. Just have to replace the bands when they wear out. I like the ball-valve's simplicity. It can be easily put together anytime. I'll update this ...

Ball-valve AG w Stock

Here's what I've been working on during my free time. A ball-valve airgun was simple enough to put together, without taking up too much time and effort. The stock isn't a solid piece, they're made from separate planks, I'm going to epoxy the handle, butt and foregrip together. I also need to shorten...
