Re: Full Auto 50
Thanks, If I say I am going to do something, I do it. It may take five years, but it gets done. It was hanging up, I think, because the rounds were a little too long, (Shorter would drop in clean) and drum spring pressure weak. I can adjust the rate of fire with the variable pressure relief valve bu...

Re: Full Auto 50
Thanks very much for the compliments and encouragement. It is greatly appreciated. So proud this is happening on the same land mass Jack, if we can keep the air compressed, we'll be able to ward off the zombie apocalypse, mongrel hoards or those who will come after our fresh water supply. you should...

Re: Full Auto 50
Thanks Cammy! I really appreciate the compliment. I like to think that when I say I'm going to do something, it gets done. Maybe not right away... There is a slight hesitation under a full load, so I think I'll beef up the spring a bit. STG, fully loaded, 5 1/4 pounds. Probably less than the real th...

Re: Full Auto 50
Ha! It looks like we suffer from the same affliction. If anybody is wondering about safety; I used wooden dowels for the test, the gun was remotely fired and I was wearing a face shield and hard hat. I figure a small chamber hidden in the pistol grip would suffice. Yeah, it would sure save me a lot ...

Re: Full Auto 50
Thanks again for your input guys, it's a big help. Dajaro, yes, it's just a hole in a piece of steel. I made it a couple thou smaller than my barrel ID. I didn't want to ream the entire length of the barrel to 5/8th's, which I should have, like you said, "make the gun suit the ammo". Wood workers us...

Re: Full Auto 50
Thanks for taking the time to post that.
My realization was that the -air in- had to be ahead of the valve. I was thinking of extending a tube to move the seal face, but your approach may be easier to make.
Thanks!

Re: Full Auto 50
Thanks wyz, The bottle is not meant to be an air supply but just a means to; -increase the volume of air going to the projectile -by enlarging the chamber volume, delaying the time it takes to reach full pressure, decreasing the ROF. Edit: Okay, instead of being a whiny little b@#h, I've pulled myse...

Re: Full Auto 50
@dartguy; Thanks for the ideas. @dajaro; I thought about PEX plugs, but not sure what you mean by pvc swager, do you mean PEX crimper? @Btb, JSR, Yeah the bottle was meant to be a reservoir, but a bit of a moot point now. I feel like a bit of a simpleton and obviously rushed to throw together some g...
