Note that the QEV piston is a cup seal and if you fill from the chamber side it will never seal - you will need to poke a small (small!) pin hole in the edge. do you mean the initial fill from zero psi ? havent got that far yet. was thinking about drilling a air fitting for a rubber ball and pin, b...

looking for critic
this will be my first completed homemade air rifle. i think i will use a air chuck for a pilot valve for now. i am going to try to set it up as a hammer valve/qev. the air chuck doesnt look much different from a crosman valve so i dont see why it wouldnt work atleast reasonably well. http://i1297.ph...

i should have said i am trying to build a qev. i got the piston to seal. now i am going to glue some things togother, and try to get it operating the way it should. what i would like to know is would reducing the pipe size between the tee and the blower make any difference for the better, or should ...

what size check valve?
hello, i am new to spud files. i would like to thank everyone for posting their projects and the owner of spud files for this site. i am building 1/2 inch air rifle. the piston is 3/8 inch. would it make any difference in air flow whether the check vale is 3/8 or 1/2 inch?
