I realize your point. But I'm theorizing on why a wet wad pushes lead weights out of the barrel much faster than dry. They aren't equel weight, the wet is heavier, so it should go slower. Really, that isn't much of an issue. What about the water content of a potato? I see your point, but I have noticed that wet paper towels go much, much, much further than dry paper towels.
