(actually he just said it wasn't smart) it would have been the...

Well if you buy one of those really cheap ass torch heads, the tube part will screw off (its lock-tited on, so use some heat and muscle to get it off). When you get it off, it will be 1/4" compression fitting threads on one end, and the propane on the other. From their you can buy a comp to NPT adap...

Honestly, can some admin lock this thread? This cannon is currently in a pile of parts anyhow, and all the recent posts in this thread have been useless crap.

I did test it, it holds air, but I am in the process of modifying the exhaust system (the 1/8" opening wasnt enough.) I also had to rebuild the piston, there were structural problems, but that is fixed now. Not giving up on it, its close.

Is that little bitty brass box your exhaust valve? Unless you have o-rings on the piston or that box has a surprising amount of flow, I wouldn't think it would be able to fire the valve. In some ways it does have an o-ring. There is a complete rubber ring around it that doubles as the sealing face....

1)yes
2)holding the front end on
3)the front end is sealed with some silicon compound, like the stuff used in sealing showers (its adhesive, but removable)

Thanks for the complement, its always nice to hear praise. Hopefully it'll work :D
