I know that blowguns have a 90psi max rating but how high do you think you could go before its reallly unsafe? i want to have 150psi mabey attatched to it.

if all else fails are there any cheap blowguns that have higher pressure ratings?

Does the modifying of the diaphram sprinkler valve with a blow gun really make that much of a difference in respect to the solenoid?? By how much would you say in like feet per sec or something?

Why would all the turns restrict air flow? Only an idiot would say that because the air is already pressurized in the tube. It doesnt make any difference! if it did than any piston valve wouldnt work worth crap because the air would be required to take a 180º turn (coaxle) to blow out the barrel. Ob...

My barrel is reduced down a to bb size from the 3/4.

I could take a pic of the chamber but it's already sealed off with the piston inside.(I'll have to saw it in halve to fix it)

I made a coaxle piston valve with a 2" chamber and a piston that slides through a 3/4" pipe. The piston will seal but when I let out the exaust the piston doesnt move until it is completely depressurized! I used a neoprene washer on the end of a 1/2" pipe with a cap for the piston. OHHHHHHHHhhhh! I get it now... That's a really good a idea. If you put a weak spring behind the piston you could make a nice semi auto gun.

I'll be making a gun that uses about 100-150psi what is the best type of rubber to use? (fyi: I want to make one of the pistons with the screw through the rubber) I wont be able to repair it as It will be sealed and It uses a 3/4" pvc barrel (sch 40). Thanks

Ya I get it. I was mabey saying it wrong. I meant to say that there is more surface area that is exposed to pressure on the front of the piston. Therefore the piston doesnt slide back withought being sucked back.

Dude that's awsome! I get it now! So because there's less pressure on the chamber side since some of the area is taken up by the barrel it stays closed.
