Re: My old copper spudgun
Bump. :) Hello again. It's strange to be posting here again after all this time. I was prompted to visit back again after coming across a few (potential) airgun parts I came across during a clear out and got all nostalgic about my old copper spudgun (whereabouts now unknown). Anyway, what I came acr...

Some manufactures list the CV value and some list the SCFM flow value, so even the specs are not very standardized. Then to complicate things, the CV in GGDT is a % of CV, not the actual CV value you will find on a valve manufacture site. I don't understand. What would I enter for a given CV of 7.5...

I didn't want to hijack Mr.michael.2468's thread but what the hey... sorry. What I'm confused about is what to enter for the values 'Valve Type', 'Flow coef' , 'Dead Volume' and 'Piston Mass' (I don't have any scales). The setup I intend to use would be a "European" style 3/4" QEV piloted by ...

I've never had anything to do with plastic launches but I believe this place may be useful to you.

...Acknowledged. But, I'm also thinking now that one needn't use a commercial cylinder. One could cut the bottom off an old shock pump (using the piston and rod to attach to the ball valve lever) and fix it to a qev with a compression fitting - voila, a full bore pneumatic cylinder. An exhaust port ...

Bumped - To save starting another thread. It is apparent that ball valves have superb flow characteristics and I see that a number of people have spring-loaded them (with success) in order to open them faster. I was wondering if anyone has thought of firing them open with a small qev attached to the...

Naah wait... I did a quick google search and it seems that enot nuts and sleeves are just compression fittings http://www.airlink-compressors.co.uk/products/norgren-enots-tubing-nut -imperial So I guess it has standard 1/2" BSP threads Aaah...All is good then. I was wondering where I was going to g...
