Re: hello guys found some new badass spud style combustion launchers in the quite advanced style
Extremely fascinating work really - The design and execution of the piezo anvil style fuze was very well done. Not 100% sure if it's shown in the youtube video but thier PDF file on patreon breaks down how they harvested the piezo components from a common clicky type ignitor. Architecting all the el...

Re: Hybrid handgun with rupture disc
Very cool - I've often considered this same concept in a 1" -1.5" bore configuration (more shoulder rifle sized than anything) but using the piston valve hybrid design so I could use generic round ammo without needing to reload a burst disc every time (golf balls or similar lol). Any idea of the muz...

Re: Commercial options for semi auto bb gun with on gun bb storage
How about the Steel Strike , more of a modern tactical look than the 760 but features a 30 round magazine with 900 round storage on a semi/burst capable platform. Damn that thing is cool! I knew I would find some good recommendations from this group. As much as I'd like to make something - it's nic...

Commercial options for semi auto bb gun with on gun bb storage
Recently I've been looking for a good camping option for cheap plinking. My goal is to find something that can store hundreds of BBs and the user can reload an on board loader to hold ~20 BBs at a time to be able to fire in quick succession (repeater with bolt style) or even pure semi auto with an a...

Re: fl(air) gun - mechanically locked pneumatic cartridge for a 26.5mm flare gun
This is amazing. I love all the effort to keep it looking stock and completely reversable if desiring to use a conventional flare. The use of the CO2 powerlet sections as ammo is also very clever in a world of expensive ammo. I've utilized them in the past on builds and it was fun shooting full ones...

Are you making the rounds as well or are they off the shelf units? Awesome work!

Re: Any official studies of Hybrid Cannons?
This is one of the few examples I remember of a publicly available paper from Utron's contracted government research project for a "Combustion Light Gas Gun" (CLGG) - A.K.A. a badass hybrid that many strived here to get close to. Full paper here: https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/pdfs/ADA462130.pdf Good abr...

Re: Look what I found!
I'd be interested to know what their design operating pressure is. I don't see mentions on their site or their literature except for the spark plug and electrical feed through - which say 500 psig. Not saying they wouldn't work as often there is a safety factor in play but it might be worth asking t...

I need to get back to building. :/ I've had AR parts lying around since last fall but I finally got around to getting a lower a month ago and have been building that instead of the cannon I need to be finishing. IMG_0682.JPG I don't know about you but no amount of fancy ARs or AKs, custom built or ...

Re: "Offtopic-posts-topic" NSFW
Welcome back, Gunfreak. NOW BUILD SOMETHING! :D I might design a large bore soup can launching monster. I think my next cannon should have enough recoil to just about put me on my ass. It's called for. Did you forget about ME? https://vimeo.com/263675436 Oh man, this post brings back memories of my...

Re: Hybrids as drilling equipment
A hybrid projectile launcher is essentially an internal combustion engine with a single piston that buggers off, it's not like we came up with the idea ;) ..... This same company is also doing cooler projects vs. just pounding rock... https://www.teslarati.com/hypersciences-geothermal-energy-space/...
