If you didn't read my earlier post, here is a repeat: The store near me only sells the extreme pressure cast iron pipe capable of sustaining 6000 PSI.

Ok, I built a noisemaker just like the one you want to. It was a piece of scrap SCH40 1.5" ID pipe, glued a cap on one end, put a small hole (1/2") about 2" above the cap. The worst one would have to be when I used a whole bottle of propane, the green tank, about 16.4 ounces. Attempted to fire 2 potatoes at once. Could have lost my hand due to the fact that the lantern igniter is in the end cap. Luckily the combustion chamber split open on the side facing away from me.
