The ball detent is around spudfiles in a couple different places. I'm pretty sure JSR used one in a bbmg to slow down the rof. I haven't seen one with a trigger like that though. Looks cool. I think the design would work with a couple changes: I would get the ball detent as close as possible to the ...

Two things: To prevent leaks while you're cementing pvc, use more glue and try and give it a small turn while you push the fittings together. Also don't even think about pressurizing the connections until the glue is cured (even if it's only 20 psi). I've done both of these things and got leaks out ...

Have you checked the expiry date? I think they need to be hydro tested every five years. My paintball store won't refill expired tanks. I'm pretty sure it costs more to hydro test tanks than it does to buy a new one. That's probably why it was in a junk yard. I would only use it for a chamber on a g...

you definitely want a smaller hole than 1/16" (I realize you said max at 1/16 but anyway). I tried a similar idea once with about the same size secondary chamber and a 1/16" leak hole. The burst disk broke in half a second. I think it was 2 or 3 layers of aluminum foil in a 1/2" union at somewhere b...

Very nice...

I always like the clean look of your guns (even though this isn't the final product).

Are you pleased with the performance?

Where did you get that three way valve?

Here's a bolt-action magazine loader I made. It's pretty finicky but not very hard to build. It took a while to get it working properly but it works pretty well now. I'm sure you could modify it a bit to make it pump action. Traditional triggers are always a little tricky. I've gone through two desi...

You'll definitely want a regulator. A stabilizer from palmer pursuit not only regulates but also stops any liquid co2 from getting in the chamber which does not make a happy mix with PVC. Based on this co2 equation you'll get about 26 shots from a 20 oz. paintball tank if you're filling your chamber...

1. Some CB tests have been done and they found that .8:1 works best for pneumatics. 2. If your using co2, I would use a 20 oz. paintball tank especially if it will be on the robot. You don't want a big 5 gallon tank (I don't think). This would need to be regulated and I would recommend getting a reg...

Check this out if you haven't seen it Piston Valves People often use a sprinkler valve to pilot their piston valve. It's kind of overkill unless you have a big pilot area but since it does release air so fast, it means your piston doesn't have to seal quite as well. This also allows you to have a bl...

I've tried this: link I've been working on it a bit since that post and made some improvements. I can now get it to fire 250-300 fps at about 1 bps. The biggest problem I've found is the slow refill time but I think I have an idea to fix that. My version does move the whole barrel with the piston wh...

If I pump it slowly up to 50 psi it works fine. So it's almost definitely a problem with impact. I also tried putting a small piece of tubing inside the equalization hole to keep it open but that didn't work. I reopened the valve and the tubing had been pushed slightly out of the hole. My best guess...

I have taken it apart and yes I did pop the little white guy out of the equalization hole. This hole is probably 2 or 3 mm wide. I don't see how it could just close up. lentamentalisk: it works when the inlet pressure is at 20 psi. I'm guessing because there is not as much of an impact that somehow ...

Light blue is atmosphere
Dark blue is pressurized
air flows through the slide valve in one position
then it vents which fires the sprinkler valve in the other position
