How big did you make these targets? I like the one with Bin Laden, but why kill the kangaroos. Most of these are A4. I'm guessing your not from Australia, or if you are, you are from the city. I'm not saying shooting kangaroos is bad, but around where I am, they are pests, and people make a living ...

If you really want a cannon just for snow, make sure you get a very large barrel. If I was gonna make a spud gun just for snow, I would spend as little as possible, combustion?. (I'm in Australia, so the price of PVC is alot higher)

I just tried using heavy nails, instead of the screw, and it drove straight into a car door, and smashed the wound down window inside

And the screw end is good for making large holes, so covering it won't help impact

I have made alot of darts in my pneumatics life, but the most affective i have found is to screw a heavy screw into the cap of a caulk or silicon stick (The plastic cone on the end of a silicon stick) This results in a very aerodynamic dart. make sure the screw you use has a heavy head on it. I have used this before, and it does work. Mine are made out of toilet rolls wraped in electrical tape, and both ends sealed with tissue.

You don't have to make a custom barrel, just chuck a spud down first
