I think you should hook it up to some wagon wheels like the old artillery cannons. Then put on some pirate clothes and have a good ole time!

Yes I have seen that post, but I was just wondering if anyone had tried any other materials or processes. I just like to brainstorm.

Well I tell you what I found a guy willing to sell me 180 pounds of lead for 20 bucks. He made me carry it though, which I regretted for 2 weeks due to a sore back. I found 7 good valve stems, 2 good wrenches, and a pair of pliers mixed in with the lead. Now I’m working on making molds for 1.5 inch ...

Oh ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the info, I’ll probably give this a try when I get some rubber for it.

Okay I have some questions. Do you think this would work on a sprinkler valve that had a guide rod? All you would have to do is somply remove the rod right? Are we sure that this increases airflow in the valve? Also, I can undertand modding the actual valve in the blowgun, but couldn't you also dril...

I think it's a wonderful idea. I have wondered how magnets could be used in spud guns and this is the best idea by far. The use of electromagnets could also make this an electrically triggered piston valve in a pneumatic. I will say that it would take a great deal of know how, but if someone knowled...

Just so everyone knows, I was trying my hand at this and I had the capacitor dump it's charge into me... The amps aren't high enough to do damage, but the voltage was at 330 and quite unpleasant. I am now wearing dishwashing gloves...

I'm sorry but can someone help me understand the physics behind dieseling? I tried to look it up, but on the net all it wants to describe is car engines. Also CpTn_lAw, I see your equations, but I don't quiet understand them with only the letters/abbreviations. I know it is a lot to ask, but this di...

If the pressure was allowed to escape the barrel, then I would think the explosion to be minimal rather than disastrous. What are the ramifications of using wax in a combustion? I know that the short duration of the burst probably wouldn’t melt it, but I know materials react differently when both he...

You used a wax slug? Could it have possibly turned sideways in the barrel or gotten stuck in any way?
