After some more tests/tinkering with the power supply, I have come to the conclusion that it is not working properly. I am now using a Radio Shack plug-in transformer box that outputs 6 volts at 300mA (I had it lying around). It produces better output than the 6 volt batteries, but I definately stil...

Okay, I hooked up my power supply (red wires = +5V output) and connected the green wire to ground. When I plug in the power supply, the fan on it moves slightly but does not spin. The voltmeter read around 5 volts then began to drop quickly, then continued to go down slower and slower. I'm lost so a...

On the advice of a friend, I cut all the wires and connected all of the red wires (+5V) together to a single red wire output. I then connected all of the black wires (ground) together to a single black wire output. He didn't mention a special pin, but would you agree that according to that website, ...

I just removed a 200 watt power supply from my old Gateway (Newton Power Supply NPS-200PB 88 A 200W). It says it can output 18 amps at 5 volts, so that should work. One problem - there is a lot of wires coming out of the power supply, and though I know a bit about electronics, I'm lost here (I don't...

i believe you could use the realy big flashlight batteries in parrell that might work im not sure how much they are but you could try I have. I used three of them, but the output wasn't enough. I have an old cell phone charger thing that plugs into the wall socket and outputs 5.0 volts at 0.7 amps....

Here is my electrolysis generator machine: http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/3734/electrolysismachine1vf1.th.jpg Soldered to each electrode is a one-foot-long length of wire with an alligater clip soldered to the other end. At the top of each gas collector is a one-foot length of .170" ID plastic t...

Crank Spring Piston Gatling
Hey everyone. I haven't posted in a while, but I have what I consider to be an awesome idea for a fully auto gun powered only by cranking. Picture how an ordinary gatling gun pulls back the firing pin with a helical track that engages a rod and pulls it back as the gun spins, until the helical track...

I bought Al powder (back when I was into that kind of stuff) at a large art supply store. I guess it was maybe 325 mesh bright flake- definately fine enough for thermite. As for a ball mill, you'd need pretty hard mlling media so it didn't get eaten up and worn down very fast. Most hard metals are s...

I disagree. In one cylinder real stirlings (I'm refering to ones like this, though other types certainly exist: http://www.discoverthis.com/head-hand-stirling-engine.html ) a "loose-fitting" piston is used so gas can get by. If you used a o-ringed piston, for example, the whole thing wouldn't work. ...
