Glad I could help. I went over to Harbor Freight to pick up a few more of these and noticed they didn't have them on the shelf any more...no longer on the website, either. So heads up to anyone who may want to try one of these, I think they're being discontinued...get 'em while you can.

Clean indeed! Looks sweet :D I understand your proudness. Good job so far. When will we see "results"? Thanks. I hope to at least be able to test the valve by this weekend. As far as the actual gun that this is intended for, it'll probably be a couple more weeks. As usual, it started out as a plan ...

Thanks for the compliments, Gippeto & Velocity. I'll try to finish this up in the coming days. Once I get it on a cannon, I'll post it up.

Looks great. I can certainly tell you did your homework and took the time to do things right. I've also never really been a fan of bolt-on piston plugs just from a safety standpoint. However many people have used them without problems, so they probably can't be that bad. One thing you may consider ...

Ah very nice. Wat did you have to do to get those fittings into the tee all the way. I made a jig for my drill press that allowed me to sand off the hexagonal part of the bushing (the part that won't fit in the tee). http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/cornflake_81/sandingjig.jpg After that, I j...

My Latest Project

So, with a few successful designs/executions under my belt here recently, I garnered the confidence to tackle a more advanced valve. I wanted something sleek and professional looking. I started designig and building one, but it was a mish-mash of threaded adapters and parts and, well, it just didn't...

A couple years ago, a friend and co-worker of mine was helping to organize a haunted house/fund raiser type thing for a local charity. He had mentioned that one of the directors had built an air cannon to blast patrons with air as they moved through the haunted house. Subsequently, he had also been ...

cool gun it's .. it's it's so clean :D I really like the piston I would love to have a piece of rubber like that and it would be handy if you make a list of specs like this chamber volume: barrel lenght: speed of projectile: etc. Thanks. Honestly, I threw this thing together from a few spare pieces...

Whoa that looks very very much like my pneumatic! Even the barrel spacers are the same lol :D I like it! Thanks. I researched several guns on this site and took pointers from all of them, so this should look familiar to a few people. Nice build cornflake_81. This is also ( in my opinion ) a good ba...

First coaxial piston gun

I've been fighting wi-, er, um.. working on this one for a couple of weeks now. The previous iterations of this gun featured non-serviceable pistons, which ultimately were a bad idea. I'm building this as a learning tool, so to speak...to better understand the ins and outs of a piston valve. So, a s...

That being said, are you using this in a coax configuration? Make sense? That's what you're doing, right? Well, at the time of the original post it was in a coax gun....but I didn't make it serviceable, so now its been dissected. :( Again nice find and nice piston. Two questions: 1) How much does i...

sanding drum piston

I snagged a cheap set of four sanding drums for my drill press at Harbor Freight the other day...just your basic sanding sleeve around a rubber cylinder with a bolt through it. After I got them home, I grabbed a scrap piece of 2" sch 40 and, whatayaknow, the 2" drum (without the sand paper, of cours...

Overall very nice gun!! Dropping this one in my "spudgun examples" bookmarks. Thanks...honored, for sure. 8) Ahh Deutsch Sprechen! Nah, sprechen pneumatisch. Anyway, I also personally like the third shot, where the screwdriver just sticks in the 2x4. Really itching to get this thing outside to real...

wow nice gun mate :D i like your first shot where some flying wood shrapnel imbeded into the box! my only suggestion is flip the valve 180 degrees and have a 90 degree brass hose elbow to have a shorter pilot hose. Thanks, I like that idea. I happen to have such a fitting laying about...just might ...
