I forgot to mention, the small compressors are extremely loud. The mini 6 gal pancake compressor I got was so loud you could not hear yourself talking in the same room. My 33 gallon has an ultra low noise motor at around 80 decibels. Its still loud in the same room but close the door and you can't h...

Pressure Booster?

I came across this a little while ago, does anyone have any idea how this thing can boost air pressure.

http://www.poweraire.com/nvba-booster-r ... -2538.html

I mean a simple regulator is easy to understand but this is very complicated and its $375.

Does anyone know how these work????

I believe its how much it can be stressed until it fails. They probably epoxied some metal together and pulled it apart with those strength testing machines. I am unsure as to how it works under air pressure but I strongly believe that it will hold up to 250psi. Here are some pictures. http://images...

How is the thread 5/8in when a 3/8in pipe would not fit? My c02 tank had a 3/8in thread but it was not npt threaded so I had to improvise. So I took a dremel and sanded the threads off, then I got a 3/8 to 1/4in bushing wrapped it in teflon and put some 60 second epoxy on it. Then I twisted it into ...

I can tell for a fact the threads are not 5/8in, they have to be 3/8 because a 1/4in pipe almost fits and my caliper is accurate enough to tell me its less then 1/2in. I think you found a differnt manufacturer of tanks, everyone can make there tank differnt but I think I have a standard pure energy ...

No I meant the internal tank threads not the part that plugs into the paintball gun.

The pressure rating that I am looking for is 250psi because thats the max input pressure for this regulator that I am going to get.

I was hoping you would say they were 3/8in, I will go to homedepot tomorrow and buy a reducer.

The tank thread is 3/8in npt or were you saying to thread it with 3/8in?

I can buy a threading set but I don't know where to get one, where would I look at homedepot if I wanted one?

I would buy this but keep in mind the motor is extremely low powered, 1/3hp for a 2 gallon tank. I had to wait 4 minutes for a 1.5hp motor to fill a 6 gallon tank. This will probably take 3-5 minutes to fill and it does not have a regulator. Thats not a big deal because homedepot has a cheap $20 reg...

Paintball CO2 tank thread size?

Alright, I found an old paintball tank and decided to use it as a small air tank for use in my pneumatic setup. I took the valve off by soaking the tank it really hot water for 15 minutes then the thread lock gave way allowing me to twist the valve off with a pipe wrench. Then to my surprise it was ...

I own a 33 gallon 1.5hp craftsman compressor but its not exactly "Portable" which is why I want to get one of these. When you say they suck do you mean it pumps slow or that it breaks? I can buy a more expensive one from homedepot for $10 and if it breaks I can return it. I would only be using this ...

Mini air Compressor?

I am looking for a small 12v on board air compressor. I found cheap ones on ebay for about $8+$8 shipping but they all have schrader connectors at the end of the hose. I do not want a schrader valve but a 1/4in npt port so that I can hook my compressor up directly via piping or hosing. This will be ...

Go here and scroll half way down, there is an animation of the valve controlling a double acting pneumatic cylinder.

Thanks a lot, they much have made a mistake on the listing as it says 24vdc but its still confusing so I went with the higher quality valve that I know will work.

I think I found out how this valve works but if someone could verify this then I will go ahead and buy it. The valve is a standard solenoid valve with spring return, It states "Pilot pressure required to shift valve" so I am thinking now that it uses the pressure from the pilot to push the valve for...
