GGDT Optimizations?

Hey I'm making a marble/AA battery/nerf dart gun, and was wondering if someone could check out my GGDT file for me, as I'm not sure if what I've got it optimized to is actually good or not. Some specs for you: Barrel: .5" Chamber: 2" Total Gun length: 50" Calculated Barrel Length: 45.71" Calculated ...

Thanks, I guess I missed that part of his website. But I do have another question. I want to make the barrel the same length as the chamber (60"), but at 53.3" I start getting the gas liquification error. I read the description here, but is it really anything worth worrying about? As in, what happen...

Question about valve and barrel

Hey, I'm in the process of making an over/under pneumatic, and I keep getting barrel choke error from GDDT. I'm using 1" for the chamber, a 1" Watermaster Sprinkler with a blowgun for a valve, and 1/2" for the barrel. Will this create a problem? By the way, I have five feet of both 1" and 1/2", beca...

Oh I got it now! Thanks suedo, that will help a lot.

So this is what the setup would be:

CO2 --- On/Off --- Regulator --- Pilot Valve --- Main Valve --- Chamber --- Main Valve --- Barrel

It wouldn't necessarily have to have to have the remote lines and macro lines would it?

Hey how does the setup look? Good? Bad? Please critique it for me.

Good question. I wouldn't think so, because it should have enough time to expand and heat up enough by the time it reaches the blowgun.

But don't listen to me, that's all guess work.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like a lot of information is still locked up in threads, instead of in the Wiki like you say it is.

But maybe I'm wrong.

I fail to see how making that gun into a scout would rip your arms off, considering they have shoulder fired .50 cal rifles.

One thing that is rather annoying is that a lot of that info is sort of buried. Since this site has a lot of posts, the search function is hard to use sometimes. It would be nice if several people that know where said posts/threads are, and could copy them into the how-to section.

Yah know... it would be fun to have a "who can make the cheapest yet still safe cannon" contest. Unless it's already been done.

Plus with plans you can't really customize it yourself. Just a hint couchquail, arguing with established members, especially senior members, is not a good way to introduce yourself to a forum. Now I understand that I am fairly new to this forum also, but this is something that I have picked from a l...

Unless I have my setup wrong, seems like those two valves are the expensive parts. Unless of course I went back to using a blowgun.

By the way, we might as well merge this with the other thread.
