Re: "In the world of spuds today"
I agree with JSR. I wouldn't expect any major revolutions in the airgun world, but instead continued incremental evolution and possibly changing popularity trends. You can already buy a PCP semi-auto that will shoot the wings off a gnat. What would really get me excited is the commercialization of ...

Re: Hybrid Piston Pilot Air Ratio
Actually the valve is like in the drawing. I did some tests, with the piston ratio 6.5 mm - 8 mm, as it is at present, but, with different pressures in the combustion chamber and the pilot, and compared. In the first case, it is 7 bar for the combustion chamber and 7 bar for the pilot. In the second...

Tennis ball launcher
Atempting to make a low powered tennis ball launcher, couldn't find a suitable piece of pipe for the barrel so made my own from flat piece of stainless, not perfectly round and has a bit of a seam but I think it will do the job.

Rate my cannon
I've been interested in building air cannons for a long time but I only recently discovered this site. I just finished building a cannon I think is pretty powerful. It uses an angle seat valve and has a max rated pressure of 300 psi (I've tested it up to 500 psi). I use a 3/2 way solenoid valve to o...

Finding copper pipe parts
I was looking at copper for a couple of designs floating around in my head, but when looking at a decent sized gun(would want 1-2" barrel, and reducer to go from that to a 2-3" chamber/valve), the price of copper parts made me go :o Before I go looking at making my own parts oit of aluminum and braz...

Re: "In the world of spuds today"
Not technically a spud gun but I bought myself a crossbow and it's quite fun and having never fired a "proper" one before, surprisingly accurate.

Spark Rail
So, I have assembled two spark rails both with two gaps, outside of the chambers wired up and connected to 3 point electric ignitor all gaps spark very efficiently, however when inserted into chambers the sparker favors one rail over the other. There are no earthing issues I'm aware of. Both rails d...

Re: "Offtopic-posts-topic" NSFW
A really excellent video from 1969 following Master Gunsmith Wallace Gusler as he builds a flintlock rifle from start to finish using traditional tools and techniques: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTy3uQFsirk Seeing someone make their own screws using only hand tools makes you realize just how mu...

Single-pump handgun
New design and prototype of the single-pump handgun, the "Plink .25". It shoots 6.35 mm steel bb's, because I'm interested in reusing ammunition. There is no point in wasting lead, (more expensive), on this weapon designed for plinking, simply. The pre-compression pressure is 6X and it can go throug...
