I've been thinking of constructing my own regulator kit using an Aquarium co2 regulator with a Sodastream or paintball tank.

This link here is the regulator I am considering buying.

But I am unsure whether the tanks that are used for these regulators have the same valve mechanism to Sodastream and paintball tanks. From a side angle, they look relatively similar, except for this white tap that is located on the side of the fitting.

Would anyone here know if these kinds of tanks would use the same kind of valve stem as with paintball and Sodastream tanks? Because I cannot find a picture anywhere on the web that would indicate this.

A word on those regulators, you might want to check the output pressure as it's probably fairly low. Discussed in this thread.

ahh yes, I've heard some dangers talked about on another website. Either way, I'm probably just gonna go out and buy some tanks that are specifically meant for this kind of regulator.
