I wanted to buy 3inch PVC fittings from mcmaster but they don't have a pressure rating for them on the sight but the say there nsf-61 certified, are they safe for pressure?

ASTM D2466
Standard Specification for Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Plastic Pipe Fittings, Schedule 40
ASTM D 1784
Standard Specification for Rigid Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Compounds and Chlorinated Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (CPVC) Compounds
Can't find any more info on the standards, I know here in NZ I can look up the standard and see what it's rated to. However, the fittings do look like the pressure rated kind and, IIRC, NSF-61 pipe and fittings are pressure rated.
I'd wait for someone else to chime in though.

NSF-61 by itself only indicates the product has passed testing to ensure it is safe to use with drinking water. This does not mean it's pressure rated, but drinking water pipe is not very useful if it can't be pressurized.
Check local sources first. Mcmaster has pretty much everything ever, but much of it is overpriced. Any plumbing supply store worth their salt should have 3" stuff. HD, Lowes and general small hardware stores usually don't.

I'm fairly certain these are standard fittings like you'd find in Home Depot. So yes you can use them under pressure.
