As soon as he said that I remembered Lab's comment earlier:

I think that now that I'll be out of Europe, not need to be so secretive about my identity and location... might start another youtube channel that's more public and keep my current one for the "grey area" projects...

It's been a while.
Seeing the machined rounds of yours on Tao's channel brought me back.
I think a new YouTube channel would be brilliant, you could even roll in some income if it became popular enough. I assume you are moving to the US?

Yeah, right now youtube is just a free video-hosting service for me but if there's money in it I could be encouraged to increase the production value of my videos.
I sure hope he picks a nice target and makes some good footage of it
maybe time to invest in a nice high-speed camera
When I get back to school I want to make some saboted rounds for my QDV, it is capable of pretty impressive velocities with heavy rounds.
about 280 meters per second for a 50 gram golf ball at 10 bar..
It drops to about 100 meters per second for a 500 gram projectile hehe

Hopefully he'll be shooting at something bigger, and with the addition of the stabilizing sleeves it should fly straighter too.

If this goes well it would be cool to see these used by someone with a "proper" high speed camera like brassfetcher or Rated RR.

Gary from Weaponeer got in touch too, we might be scaling these up to 37mm more like the sort of pressures I'm used to hehe

hehe I saw that, just an opinion. What amazed me was how overwhelmingly positive the respose was in spite of the fact that most of those shots were epic fails
I think you know what you need to do now, get that gorilla glue flowing
Thank goodness that comment enlightened me, I feel like such a fool now!

Jsr, stick to the forums type launchers. also in normal shells the load is normally compressed into the shell by a plastic top cover, i think you should ask them to put a little hot glue or wax in the shell to seal it in. also you may want to make thicker fins for shotguns like those bolt rounds or try a new material like hot glue or something more flexible and less brittle.
