Strong enough for golfball barrel

Hey guys, on my hybrid I want to get a golfball barrel, and since ABS/PVC is weak and alot of trouble connecting it with a metal chamber,

I would like to know if a 1 1/2'' 10S steel pipe with a 1.682 I.D and the wall 0.1 thick would be strong enough for a hybrid that is planning going 6x prop or mapp/air.

Thanks

You could just use 1.5in sdr21 and sleeve it in 2in sch80. It isnt hard to connect to the metal chamber at all, just get a threaded fitting and thread it in.
But if you really dont want to use pvc then the mentioned metal will work.

I concur with BB. The sleeved SDR should be fine for what you're doing.

I, on the other hand, have actually seen a plastic barrel fail on a hybrid. It was ABS, which is why I'm still here, but it was incredibly violent, and PVC has very dangerous failure characteristics.

Use a steel pipe. SCH 10 should be fine for 6x. If you want a higher safety factor, use SCH 160 2" pipe.
