never seen these before, but very cool. Wonder if you can get it to launch in the air, hitting one in mid flight would be awesome looking. What are the ingredients?

TNT is pretty insensitive, so I'm doubting one could set it off with a rifle round. No garantee there, just a suspicion...

Those exploding targets are sold as a binary, to be mixed on-site.
One bottle contains a mixture of, IIRC, amonium nitrate (NH4*NO3) and a clorate (probably KClO3, though maybe NaClO3). This serves as the oxidizer.
The other bottle contains, IIRC, mostly fine aluminum powder, although it also contains some titanium sponge. This serves as the fuel, although there isn't enough of it to acctualy consume all the oxidizer, so it'd be more suitable to call it a sensitizer.

TNT goes off just fine when hit with even a .22 cal round. Trust me, I've done it!

those targets are just ammonal ammonium nitrate/aluminium like around a 90/10 mix I have made a few of these :D I am not sure if they will detonate with a .22 I will have to try it tomorrow or monday when I go and test my spud gun. but I know for sure they will detonate with a 308,30-30,and30-06

don't worry its perfectly legal... well sorta it's legal if you mix it on-site,depending on where you live check the laws in your area.

ok, since someone already woke the dead, what are the BATFE's regulations regarding manufacture of explosives? it is legal, all media and what you would get from common knoledge says that it is highly illegal. what about here in the bay state? i am getting mixed messages. please help me

it is legal to make explosives, PROVIDED, you have a permit and license by the ATF to do so. Read up in the "Orange Book" and take a test and get permits.

you guys know that soon you'll only be able to buy a pound of oxidizer per year unless you have a ATF licence...

that does suck, and i believe it is only certain types of oxidizers, and they are limited to 1 pound per purchase of each kind. i kinda doubt that the BATFE will completely outlaw it though. how much damage could someone do with a pound of oxidizer anyway? no enough where they would legally purchase it from an exposives dealer :?
