Hey everyone- I just shot my first test ammo. An Ice slug. It worked really good, and actually knocked me off my feet a little. I shot it a woodpile, and it shattered, as expected. I'm pretty sure I could do plenty of damage with it.
Here's the pics.
Making it- Pour water in PVC, freeze it. Make sure to plug up the bottom.
The slug

When you take it out of the mould put the ice back in the freezer so the water on the surface freezes agen it shots a lot better. I used it quite a bit i use to make two, three foot ice moulds at a time and cut then into samller pices. I put a peice throw a 1/4 peice of ply wood

mix red food coloring in before it dries, or any color for that matter, it would be sweet when it hits.

howabout making jello, but instead of letting it cool in the refridgerator, put it in the mold and let it freeze in the freezer.

Taping the bottom like that is quite labor intensive; I have a nice system that allows me to produce these things for probably less than 30 seconds of work per projectile.
I've given details in the spudwiki artical on "ice".
