no it's not the same.
you can buy golf ball barrels from may spudgunners and their stores.
pimpmann22 (vivi)
bcpneumatics (bcarms)
sgort (launchpotatoes)

You can also get them locally from pipe shops and irrigation supply shops

it's also refered to as something 200, I can't remember what it is. You might want to google sdr 21 and see what it also is referred to. I went to our local plumbing store and he said he didn't have sdr 21 but that he had this 200 stuff which is exactly the same.

If you have access to a table saw use it to mod some 2" sch40. It explains it in the wiki. I have used both the sdr21 inside 2" sch80 and the 2" sch 40 inside 2" sch 40 and the only difference I have found is that the ball is a little tighter in the 2" sch 40 thats been modded.

Where I live, it is. Only way I could get a stick of 1-1/2" SDR-21 from the hardware store was looking for a chunk of 1-1/2" drain pipe for an unrelated project. No sense in using SCH-40 for drain! It was about $0.55 a foot.

Oh yeah, I just remembered what it's also called. Class 200 pipe. It's the exact same thing as sdr 21, just a different name. Just ask the guys at your local plumbing store(not to be confused with something like home depot or Lowes) for sdr 21 or class 200. Also ask if they can order it if they don't have some.

just get a 4" to 2" bushing. The schedule 40 fittings will go on any other thickness of pipe because they all have the same OD.

Made one just the other day, it was a bit of a chore cramming one pipe into the other.

Originally slated to be 48" long, the pressure rated s40 PVC shattered at one point so I was forced down to a 32" barrel. All in all, I think it came out fairly decent, with the proverbial 'gap' being very minimal. I also used small pieces from the strip I cut out and glued them inside at the breech end as a ball stop. I have yet to use it, but I'm sure it'll be pleasing. I'll let you know. -Lp
