I was just wondering what kinds of projectiles you guys have been making?

My favourites are frozen glow in the dark potato cores, lemons and my insta-paper mashe rounds.

What are some of the strangest things you've launched?

did you really launch a hornets nest? some how i dont beleave you were able to get it in the barrel.

anyway, i like to launch rocks because they are free and do some bad damage to soda cans.

I have the chamber section of an old bike pump. It's about half full of acorns and it's pretty dense. With 1 layer of duct tape it fits perfectly in a 1 1/2'' barrel.

That's pretty much the best thing I've shot, aside from an old model rocket...

I've shot at them, and shot with them. You knock them down into the barrel from the ceiling and fire really, really fast. Then run like hell.

Railroad spikes
Chopped up coathanger(very nice flechette rounds(sp?))
1.5 lead bullets(they shred 3/4" ply)
water balloons
stail cereal
unknown berries
sunflower seeds(I wanted to see if they would grow when fired into dirt -they didn't)
3/4 conduit(I'll never get it out of the tree)
"car food"
a ball of wax
gumballs
One time I blew a chipmunk out of a barrel using lung pressure. He went like 5 ft and landed in a bush.

Well I was at the lake one time and found one of those little plastic shakers that they put spices in. Well I cleaned it out, filled it with some fine sand, then put water in it to replace the air in between the grains to make it more dense, then I filled it to the top with more sand as the water packed it down, more water. then I wrapped it in duct tape till it fit the barrel almost perfectly. Dang that thing did some serious damage.
