I have had a idea for longrange paintballing. A paint loaded rocket(sort of)
the rocket is a payload D engin rocket that is attached to a 9V safty project box with a safty swich and a fire button. The idea is that the rocket will fly at an angle and the paracute launch charge will discharge the paint load and have a nasty affect on a tank.

- The dark gray rings are sabots, the red tip is the load, the black box is the project box, the brown thing is the engin, the tgings coming out of the engin is the ignighter(sp?)

I think its a great idea. One problem is, you arent allowed to (at least I dont think you are allowed to) launch any self propelled ammo out of a spud gun. But on the topic of this, the project box isn't attached to the rocket is it? Because if it is it would throw off the accuracy.

It isn't launched out of a spud gun and is posted under off topic and has nothing to do with spudguns and I posted it under off topic, so long as it dosn't get really lethal I thinK it should be ok. Plus PCGUY said that this topic http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... 0&lighter=& he said "As long as this doesn't mix with spudguns (and it's kept strictly "offtopic", and spudcannons don't get mixed into the discussion) then this is fine."(quoted from PCGUY) and the project box is attached to the launch tube. Paint(the program) tends to leave out parts there is a line between the sabots and box.
This is why you shouldnt be dicussing this...
Discussion of shooting anything at any person and/or animal is prohibited, and may result in a permanent banning of your account.
1. The exception to this rule is for proper use of legal airsoft and/or paintball markers.
Seeing as this isnt a "legal" paintball gun this is why it should be discussed. Basically when you make a "homemade" cannon and shoot a "homemade" projectile at a person there will tend to be a lot higher chance of injury then when you make a "homemade" cannon and shoot a "homemade" projectile away from people. Basically anything "homemade" shouldnt be aimed at a human... Sick of "homemade" yet?

It won't be aimed at a human it will be aimed at paintball tanks but please delet this file if it is bad. I thoght it would be fine because we were talking about Flame Throwers that this would be ok for anti paintball tanks and nothing more.

That D engine won't carry a heavy load, they only have 4 pounds of thrust. Probly 1oz of paint + container + small rocket body tops. The shute ejection charge isn't strong either, nose cones on rockets can't fit to tightly, or the cone barly pops out and the shute don't,( i've had that problem). Engines are not consistent either, some are stronger then others. If you build it let us know how it turns out.

Hey how about a cluster engin like three C or D engines. That should do it.

Sorry, I didn't notice that this was under off topic, I saw "sabots" and assumed for some reason it was meant to be launched from a cannon.

alright so i dont know how much experience you have with rocketry but jjrdw is right... you will not get adequete thrust for your puropses... also... igf you do go with a cluster... it will send it flying very fast... i personally would suggest a breech loaded cannon like another one i saw that was for this same purpose... iut shot nerf vortex footballs...
