Are you sure it's DU, most proposals I've seen use tungsten as a penetrator.Locals got a bit miffed that DU rounds were creating doubled headed fish or something though.

The article doesn't mention the DU shells fired by the railgun, the concerns seem to be about DU ammunition fired by conventional powder burners.
