Need help from someone in the United States!

The problem is that I am building a Hybrid Spud Gun http://www.spudfiles.com/hybrid-cannon- ... 25918.html

And I want to implant a Stun Gun ignition system but I can’t order the item directly do my country as it is not allowed under our Weapons Law § 20.

So how could you help me? Easy as I would pay the item and all shipping costs.

From your part, I would need that I could order the item to your location. Then you would need to take off the housing. But the inside of the stun gun in to a box and ship it to my country. On the box where you but what you are shipping, you should write electronics. In addition, as I do not need the housing of the stun gun then that part can be trashed.

So is there anyone who would be willing to help me out with this problem?

Why not just look at some of the many alternatives that involve creating your own source of high voltage for arc-based ignition on this sight? spend a few minutes on the old search function and you will find that you can easily order parts and probably source them easily in your own country to get around the need for using a stun gun!

Its not hard to make a high volt spark system but i have a bit work on my hands so i hoped for a simpler solution but like allways if all fails then its time to make my own

Alternatives exist. BBQ/stove igniton modules, igniter modules for HID lamps such as Metal Halide or Sodium are some examples. Automotive ignition coils, Electric Fence chargers, etc can all be used.

I almost started to put together a high voltage schematic. Then I accidentally found this on eBay a 400kv high volt generator for 4,11€ with shipping!

Nice find, I just picked one up myself.

I have a 30kV BBQ sparker that has trouble at 9X and 10X mixes so I've been looking at other options. Hopefully this one does the trick, although it seems to be a bit more picky with the input supply. Not sure if lithium batteries are required to get the most out of it.

Don't get too carried away with very high voltage stuff - in the long run, it's a more sustainable approach to have a short, controllable arc length. I've ignited 3:7 propylene/oxygen mixes consistently using a 0.003" long spark powered by a small electronic BBQ igniter. Using a higher voltage supply and a wider gap makes for easier gap design, but introduces dielectric breakdown problems all over the place if you're not careful. After you build a sturdy, consistent spark gap which can be finely adjusted, you may never need to build another one.

Yup, I've used ordinary cigarette lighter piezos to ignite mixes up to 15x reliably, the important thing is to keep a small spark gap.

Surprised how quickly mine arrived, will test it out when I have time.

edit: 3 AA batteries in series gives off a nice spark with a healthy buzzing sound. Only tested it on a spark plug gap since (my interpretation of) the eBay listing says not to vary the spark width while it is powered.

Just tried it with four AAs wired in series with an 8mm spark gap...GODDAMN it's loud. Far louder than my 100kV stungun ever was, this thing is violent.

Really simple setup though, I'd definitely recommend it assuming it works in hybrids.
