haha im a junior in this program, and I dont believe you can pick the ball off the ground, the seniors on my team, just center the ball then have a spring loaded and gear cocked kicking foot.

On another note, arent you a little late? our team shipped the robot on tuesday... or will this make up some of the 65 lbs of additional materials?

What team number are you guys?

Other guys, youve got good ideas, but I think your prettty limited on which motors and pneumatics you can use, they are only supplied with a certain number of motors and pneumatic components and they arent allowed to change them. Apparantly the pneumatic components are pretty subpar, the onboard compressor and tank takes a couple minutes to charge up for a decently powered pneumatic "kick".
Patience is a virtue, get it if you can, seldom in a women, never in a man.

DR; another unique idea! Good to see you back on the forum. It has been quite a long time between your appearances.

Glad to see you made use of the Pneumatic Components Library with the DR topped sprinkler valve.

This is the first actual drawing I have seen using that valve/top 3D model.
