I think this time its usage is justified
Is that a fire-spitting menorah? I wonder if the guy who made it has a program that can interpret any GH song or if he has to do it manually. Doing it manually would be a lot easier but less cool
I think each solenoid valve is linked to a button on the controller.
However, you are probably only a few A/D converters and a few RC filters from making an array that would work for any audio input.
EDIT: I see PS is here, so: or, an Arduino sketch.
they say that these days everything has become just a code problem rather than hardware problem or whatever... That makes sense you know why would I use a 555 timer for a circuit that needs pretty much a 555timer when the price of all the components and putting them on the board is similar to that of the uC... and the uC offers more features?

Not arguing that. I actually had a microcontroller in mind when I said that, I was just commenting on your preferences.
Now to return to the original meme: Damn nature, you scary!
"WARNING: The video below shows acts of predation, to wit: an eagle knocking a mountain goat off a cliff to its death and carrying it away, so don’t watch it unless you can stomach nature at its reddest of tooth and claw." h/t: JC - Why Evolution Is True
The segment starting at 5:10 is ridiculous, the eagle is actually flying with a goat grasped in its talons.

Interested about the talk of a automated detection system for marijuana. Hands down would reduce drug usage. Something that should be fast tracked as it is a leap in efficiency versus status quo ho hum.
Hyperspectral imaging:

Great paper about the technology: (marijuana specific) link
Long shot here but if someone is going to a university it seems like a perfect project to research. If it could work with a hit rate of even 1:500 it would be worth it. aka a DEA employee would peruse the "hits" and manually verify. Classic science of just isolating variables.
