As the title suggests, this thread is for the discussion of homemade noisemakers. Not a competition or anything, I'd just like to see what designs are out there. Try to post innovative, or at least interesting things.

To start off: This afternoon, I was doing a small scale test of one of our oddball firework designs: a 48" diameter balloon, filled with oxy/propane and detonated from inside with a remote electronic ignitor. This test was the largest yet, 16" (35L of oxy/fuel mix, give or take). Quite impressive when it went off, considering how little fuel was present, and made a decent fireball. The report didn't seem quite right, like the balloon had burst before all the fuel had burnt. We'll probably do a jet-ignition and airburst for the full scale, but those concepts will be tested on 24" balloons first.

Anyone else working on similar things for the summer?

Yeah I'm in hurry up mode to get em done for the 4th shows. 3 advanced combustions (triplets), camlocked burst disk, semi hybrid (1-2x low level) fueling option, chainable ignition, blah blah blah....I'll showcase them here of course when I'm finished. They also double individually as high performance spud guns.

A few cool innovations incorporated...stay tuned guys...you're gonna like!! 8)

On a serious note, I have a copper gun planned out, but nothing on the lines of a noise maker.

Sounds more like a fireball than a noisemaker. I'm talking more about stuff that can rattle windows from 5km away. I've never actually got around to shooting a burning aerosol can though, should try that tomorrow.

idk but my 3/4 burst disk cartridge is quite loud for its size. Could bring it to a resteraunt with a co2 inflator and make some noise.

Could also load a 3/4" spitball and have some fun.
