Unlikely. The Blue Man Group(s) have been doing this particular "drumbone" routine and perfecting their instruments since the mid 90s. I've seen them live 5 different times and it never gets old. They are actually the best live concert I've ever seen, bar none...music and entertainment value is extraordinary, and the sound is always better than perfect. Here's one of my favorite BMG performances...yes good ole Baba O'riley...a little different PVC config...don't forget to catch the confetti cannons.

Saw it in band class last year, our teacher brought in the blue man group dvd, that pvc instrument is awsome.

I don't think they were playing at the time, although I'm not sure.
If I do see them in NZ, I'll definitely go see them.

Yeah they are presently at the Venetian in Vegas. They were at the mightly Luxor when I saw them there a few years ago.
