Wow that's quite some horsepower you've got there.
Are you sure the frame can handle the forces involved?

Looks like you may have to put a few cross bars in the front and some vertical supports as well. A small double rail along the sides may help.
Looks nice, though. I'm just concerned that the weight will fold your frame up when it gets to moving and vibrating.

i would not use the term weak if made it with some heavy walled box it may be stronger but it would not flex. my last one i madeto stiff and if you hit a small bump in the road at 60mph it would bounce and somtimes make you spin out.
the weakest part its from the front of the seat forwards behind all the rest has triangulation in it and is very strong. I worked out the new gear ratio should have a theretical top speed of 135 mph at 11000 revz in top gear i had a go on the bike before i pulled the engine out and it revs hapilay up to and past 12k so i think it will be down to the driver.

I'd rather have a sturdy frame at that speed...135 mph
Just add padding to your seat.

No joke. That kind of speed is nothing to mess with, I would even make the frame way overkill if I was ever planning to go that fast.psycix wrote:I'd rather have a sturdy frame at that speed...135 mph

My recent project has been a racing lawn mower, and I reinforced the frame quite a bit, and it's only gonna max out at around 40 mph.
It's hard to soar with eagles when you're working with turkeys.

Protection in between you or driver and the gear box would go a long way....That gear box set up will be screaming at 11000 rpm's. A roll cage would also go far for me. What make engine is that and why isn't there any air filters?

Just as sick as your compressor experiments.
You seem to lack all common sense...No...fear..that's what you lack
It's fear that keeps us safe..not so in your case..
135 miles an hour means certain death could follow any small mishap...
Hitting something at that speed will certainly mean the end to your strange endeavors..
Please tell me you don't actually plan to try it?!?!?!
You and Charles Bronson man...pfff

puting a role cage on it would make it more likeleay to flip. plus i would then need a full harness. you may think this is a good idear but if i did flipp it i would rather be thrown free. than straped in a mettal cage having no control. if i plann on going past 80 mph i intend on rering motorbike leathrs i always wear a helmet on it anyway anypart of the geer box will not spin any faster than its mean to. pluss its underneath the engine in the sump the engine is out of a yam.
shaft driven hence the engin mounted with the crank paralal tp the chasi.
i also plan on puting some mettal between me and the chain making a head rest
i also want a rev limiter to stop me over reving it and throwing a rod.

Make sure you calibrate your rev-limiter set point to 2000 RPM as a safety factor to prevent any injury in that death trap!maggotman wrote: i also want a rev limiter to stop me over reving it and throwing a rod.
Multiple concerns warrant the above statement;
Flimsy frame? That frame is not made for much more than 5-10 HP.
Chain tensioner? Chain will stretch and fall off.
All wheel hydraulic disc brakes? You need to stop this thing at all speeds.
Rack and pinion steering? That steering setup is to narrow of range.
Engine cooling? Need fans and/or ducting.
You have to weak of a chassis and external drive train to handle that torque and engine horse power!
Been there, done that!
This is much more robust with only 450cc. Max speed 85 MPH.
