There is no spudfiles app for iPhone. I think it would be cool if there was an app for my phone. Maybe with ggdt incorporated into the app?

I wouldn't know the first thing about making an app and I assume the admin (PCGUY) would rather invest the time in updating the forum to the latest phpBB rather than creating an iPhone app. If anyone knows how to make apps and is interested in making one for Spudfiles, I'd suggest you PM PCGUY and get permission from him first.

D_Hall, that may have been a little blunt given his post count...

@*##*:

This is a site basically driven by the community, so contributions and tools (such as the Wiki, GGDT, HGGDT etc) are created by the users who want them. D_Hall is the one behind GGDT and HGGDT. So if you want them on your phone, your best bet would be to write a similar situation for android/iphone.

Of course, if you've never coded anything before I can understand that this may be unrealistic.

At least you put the idea out there, perhaps someone else will take it further.

I know some forums use Tapatalk or its' ilk, is something like that possible?

But then again Tapatalk is only for the far superior Android OS.

one app that can be useful for spudguns is this -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... yway&hl=pl

It shows elevation, cant, and bearing. Ohh and I think there is one for iphones too

want to write apps? I spent like a couple of hours just to get android sdk working, then all I could write was a simple app that changes background colour to orange when you press one button and black if you press the other :D
There certainly is a lot of potential in smartphones as they have lots of sensors, cameras, bluetooth and stuff but I guess learning curve is kind of step for ppl who have next to no coding experience

It was just an idea, but this is a very "shut up and do it" website. but if the question is am i going to spend the next couple weeks learning to code apps so than i can get to the spudfiles forum in one less click, don't hold your breath. but if someone already versed in creating apps felt like throwing a couple minutes into creating this yes i wouldn't mind it

ohh yeah because porting ggdt to android can be done in just a few minutes

it IS a shut up and do it website - deal with it

want to contribute ? great
want to be spoonfed and ask ppl to do stuff for you? better leave now

why does that come across as insulting? if you wanted to see a second avatar movie does that mean you need to wright it and produce it yourself?
spudfiles has been up for years and theres still no app my bad for brining it up. p.s i don't appreciate the condescending attitude
