I just watched that vidoe 2 days ago. I'd be worried about the flame melting the outside of the tank and exploding.

i did something similar but with a cheaper gun, the trigger got "sticker" and "sticker" and finally got stuck. it wasnt one that has a pump.

many people have seen this before. its ok, but it would be better to actually use the proper fuel, im not talking petroleum jelly like the real ones use, but it would be safest to go with the denatured alcohol, sadly i have no idea where to find denatured alcohol. if you ever try the super soaker idea, make sure the candle or torch has the flame angled at a 45 and that the liquid grazes the top of the flame. this works with axe cans and lighters as well.

hey i made onee of those like a few days ago, i would suggest you dont get any gas on the gun cause it will light the gun on fire if u hold the lighter to close or the pressure gets to low. also that burned patch in the grass definately wasnt me

I think that the best fuel is mix of 95% alkohol and 5% petrol>nice bright flames,no smoke and it wont stick to the target.

Others may already have found this, but at least in the local area, most large hardware stores sell it by the quart and gallon in the paint section, next to the paint thinner, turpentine and such.

So where's the fun in that?
People use to mix gasoline with soap. That's your ghetto napalm.
Denat. Alcohol is probably a better idea. I found some in an auto/hardware store.

Really, he doesn't know what he's talking about, they use more of the type of jelly thats in thoose little Cans that catering people put under the food to keep it warm...

And some flame-throwers used high pressure propane and natural gas to make the flames, not flammable liquid\jelly....

WWII flame throwers used a flammable liquid and a gas to propel the liquid...

I found this from <A HREF="http://www.diggerhistory.info/pages-wea ... rowers.htm"> Flamethrowes </A>

The backpack contains three cylinder tanks. The two outside tanks hold a flammable, oil-based liquid fuel, similar to the material used to make Greek fire. The tanks have screw-on caps, so they can be refilled easily. The middle tank holds a flammable, compressed gas (such as butane). This tank feeds gas through a pressure regulator to two connected tubes.
