hey guys. it was another boring school week and i decided to get back in the buisiness of making paper bullets. you know, the ones where you put on a ruber band, pull back, and let go. here is a list of names i have heard them called; hornets, paper wasps, V bombs, stingers, buzzers, and paper bullets. if you have experience with this please PM me or post a message on this thread. i am looking for the "perfect bullet" which means good traveling distance(about the size of a junior high classrom) and just the right snap(meaning that it stings when u get hit with it) feel free to post pics

Lol, someone at my youth group got into the supplies cabinet for the little kids at my church, and, he made various projectiles! You know those little brass colored brad thingies? The ones that you poke through the paper and fold the two tabs out to make joints on paper figures? Those things.

Anyway, he held the rubber band almost like you would to snap somebody, but he didn't twist the band up. He placed the brad between the two sides, pulled back, and POW!!! They HURT!, and they could easily travel the length of a long hallway. Made a cool sound too. SpIONG!!!!!

The other one, the bad one, was those metal thumbtacks with the flat head. Lets just say, they sunk into the wall if you did it right. And no, do not shoot those at people!

BTW, Spudblaster your sig is pretty funny. Although, kinda creepy. Kinda.

At my school, we had a year of wasp insanity a while back; so many kids got hurt, they set up a policy where anyone caught with wasps more than twice would face possible explusion

Anyways, back in the day, we made a lot of improvements. One improvement is to make the wasps in the shape of triangles instead of bars. This seems to hurt a lot more, travel faster, and most importantly, be more accurate.

Another thing to do it to use aluminum foil. After I had perfected the design of using aluminum foil and triangle shapes, it could break skin and leave crazy welts.

I stopped with the wasps as soon as someone hit me in the eye :blackeye: (how appropriate is THAT emoticon :D )

LOL!!!!! I would like to find out how to make those foil things. Although, not for school, just for goofing around with my friends.

Do you think you could tell me how?

What are these things you are talking about? We pretty much just shoot spit wads at each other.

How to make one? I can try....

Take a square of aluminum foil, 4"x4". Fold it twice, making a square 2"x2". Now, take one of the corners, and fold it over to the other, forming a triangle. Now, take the two 45 degree corners of the triangle, and fold them so they touch each other. Do this one more time, and you have your aluminum wasp.

I just made on, and it blew the paint off of part of my wall, along with making a visible dent  . I was using a double rubber band.

Warning: I would not shoot these at friends. If they hit in the eye, it could be very very bad

Only problem with these aluminum ones is they take longer to make, are harder to make, and are destroyed after 3-4 shots.

If you want to make them really well, use a dough roller after each step to make the aluminum flat as possible.

i made a chalk slingshot at the uni...With a simple compass, an elastic found in the chalk box, a 4cm by 2 cm piece of paper, and small pieces of chalk. We managed to explose small pieces of chalk on the blackboard.

lol...We used the little compressed air sarbacanes with spitballs to fight between us! they would shoot over 10 meters and still hurt a little. at close range, they woud hit like an airsoft AEG. (they worked on the same principe than the spring/piston air rifles.)
