I looked into it and your gun is a Drillings - The Drilling is a European hunting gun with Three barrels. Typical Drillings have 2 Shotgun Barrels over a Rifle Barrel. However, Drillings have been made in many configurations (rifle & shotgun) and caliber’s. Drilling guns are typically used for mixed bag hunting. Hope that helps.

German Drilling Double 16 Gauge 3” chambers & 9.3 x 72R Rifle barrel. This has the 118/35 on it so this very well may be it. I dont see how it cant be since it has the same serial number on it. http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976549210.htm Looks like it is worth quite a bit as well, CONGRATS!

I actually suprised myself when I found that. First i found out what type of gun it was, drillings, then the rest using the serial thing. Anyways what do you plan on doing with it? Now that you know roughly what it is worth. How did you get this gun?

its been in my family forever, i just found it in the cabinet and decided to put it on the forum. and spudshot, i dont think its domascus because my grandpa said domascus barrels have colors and designs in them, this gun doesnt, so i dont think its domascus, but i wont shoot it till im sure, and good job on calling the german-ness of it all

i've seen some domascus barrels, and none of them had designs on them, they just looked like normal barrels, which is how my great granpda blew his shotgun apart lol, curled the barrels right down like in the cartoons (for those of you who dont know, domascus was an older type of steel used to make barrels, today's shotgun shells will blow those barrels apart)

to go with that, domascus doesnt take todays shells because they were built for blackpowder shell instead of todays high power shells. but i looked at a gun on the auction thing and it had a bright red barrel and the description said domascus barrel. im not shooting the gun till im sure anyway.
