I had a day off today because my school was having a report writing day, anyhow i was bored and after being on spudfiles recently and i had a attack of got spud fever and just had to make something so this is the result
http://img155.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=12062009.jpg
i wish i had some specs on it but i guess i was just building it off cuff so i dont know the size of every thing but i can tell you the pilot is 3/4 inch ball (obvious) the chamber has a ID of 1 inch (it was the biggest bore i could do) the barral is 1/4 copper tube duno how long (i didn't measure)
atm moment i'm having problems with the piston sealing but hope fully will soon be fixed
what do u guys think? ideas on 1 inch pistons would be good too

So... it's a wooden pneumatic?
I think you just one-upped Eddbot. Good job!
As for the 1" piston, I would build it with threaded rod and washers.

I want to see who'll make a wooden railgun. That would be a feat and two halves.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

I suppose if we could get a tree to feed off of iron rich soil, it may absorb slight magnetic properties.
It could happpen...

That's one hefty pilot ball valve you have there...
Love the wood usage...still a little too neat to compare to Edd's infamous ghetto wooden combustion.
