Do the cheap chinese QEVs from Ebay have a standard plumbing thread(1/2'')?
I am fed up from making my QEVs and having to spend a week to get them working :bounce: :bounce:
here is the QEV

They are probably BSP or NPT, both are "standard plumbing threads" depending where you live. So which one do you mean?
Edit: that link says G 1/2, so it has G (bsp) threads that are used for plumbing/pneumatics (except U.S. standard that is NPT)

Just watch out for PT (read it may be a Japanese or Asian standard) also bear in mind some if not all the black box style ones have a smaller outlet orrifice than the advertised pipe size.
Long time off the forums, Just to tell you I bought one from amazon, which is the same as those eBay ones.
The one I received is a QE-04 rectangular black box type with a brass port for exhaust. I live in France as well, no problems with the thread size. It's the standard 1/2" (15x21mm) for both chamber and pilot ports. The exhaust (barrel) is 3/8", or 12x17mm.
The main difference with this commercial bought QEV compared to my DIY QEV is the port inner diameter. On my homemade QEV it is 18mm ID, where on the commercial QV it is closer to 10mm.
This difference in port area is non negligible, and further testing will be needed to conclude if the faster opening time is worth downsizing the inner port.

Unless stated otherwise it's safe to assume they are BSP threads on eBay stuff
