you can maybe guess the rest of the design from here..
and yes its a pneumatic cannon.. cause anything air powered that will launch a bottle 500 feet in the air.. is a cannon for sure..

Just because it has a gauge and uses compressed air doesn't mean it's a cannon, guys.

I'm not sure if a bottle rocket is a cannon or not seeing as it's self-propelled. It would more class as a rocket then a cannon, so I was right.

okay guys.. i edited the first post and added the pics so someone browsing could see them easiy.. its finished other than rocket mounts.. on the board.. and no paint and decals.. i will do that an update later..

check out the very first post to see the pics..

see what you think.. notice the valve for connecting the hand pump.. and also notice the pulley system for launching..

tell me what you think..

has a 480psi check valve right below the gauge

You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

That launcher is a step above what my friend made -- that's a nice release system. When I used my friend's launcher, it would just shower me with water. :)

It's pretty simple the little weight that is on the nose cone keeps moving up off of the rocket when the rocket reaches apogee it's max. hight.
Ex. putting a penny on your hand and jerking your hand up same principal the penny will lift off of your hand.

Can you tell me how old you think I am?

With the pulleys and rope, I imagine he yanks on the rope to pull down that release valve (like a quick-connect for garden hoses) and the pressure launches the water bottle up.

At least you can do it from a distance with that :)
