I'll go slowly okay? Try to keep up.

Step 1) Bleed off any remaining gas. Use the torch head to do this...just do it outside. It does NOT need to be lit. Got that one?

Step 2) Using a valve tool for a bicycle, remove BOTH valve cores from the tank. Got this one too?

Step 3) Ventilate the tank by putting your blowgun (must be attached to an air hose AND a compressor) to one or the other openings in your map gas tank. Squeeze the trigger such to release compressed air INTO the empty map gas tank. Continue to ventilate in this manor for one minute. Use your watch or a handy clock if in doubt. With me so far?

Step 4) See the tank outlet? It's in the center of the tank on the end...has some external threads on it...might just be where you had the torch head mounted.....Carefully, going in small steps, (use every drill size you have in sequence  ) drill this out to 7/16". When that is done, use a 1/4" npt TAP to thread the hole you just drilled. You will attach the rest of your launcher bits to this threaded portion.

Step 5) See the other hole in the end of the tank? The hole that is off center in the end? The hole from which you removed the OTHER valve core??? Put the valve core that came out of this hole BACK in this hole now.

You now have a usable air tank. YAYYYYYYY!! :)

If you feel the need, you may print these instructions and take them with you for reference.

If you cannot follow Gippeto's instructions above, don't bother. Get some PVC or galvanised iron fittings because you're not fit to carry out this task. If you do understand what Gippeto is saying; good for you, go right ahead.

Do as Tech suggests. :)

Have drilled one out to 7/16" and tapped it for 1/4" npt...works well enough. :)
I drilled one out to about 1.25 inches and welded in a 1 inch pipe. :D
