Heh, true that. Not at Lowe's though! Those guys aren't always right but they've built them and don't send you packing when they find out what you are doing.

ya... if u said that ur friend will help u build ur cannon, and that he has experience, best just to go shopping with him and have him look over ur plans. in saying that, u should still do a little research on how these things work. just have a look around this site and u will find everything u could possibly want or need to know about spudguns. have a look in the showcases of guns that other people have already built, and u will get the general jist of what ur cannon could be.

having this background knowledge will make u appreciate ur gun even more, rather than just build what ur mate tells u to do. once u got ur gun all planned out, post a explaination of ur plans or even diagrams and everyone here will be more than keen to help u out. good luck and happy spudding.

The people at my hardware store always ask me: "What are you building now?" "Are you gonna blow up the whole town?"...It's pretty funny

In NZ they wont kick you out of the store if you tell them what your building, the staff are always really interested and will even give you ideas on how to make it better. Even when I go down to the park for test fires I get a small crowd watching, they tell me that it is a really cool idea.
Airbeds... so many different uses

the interchangable barrels are a good idea. we put a 1.5" female on the end of all our guns, and then for my buddies and my guns we make different size barrels with 1.5" males on the end.
