Epoxy chamber

I just saw a machine that can build things using epoxy. They have made flashlights and watches so far. Do you think that epoxy would be strong enough on its own if you made the sides about a 1/4 inch thick? They use a computer to input design and the machine follows them perfectly.

like a 3D printer?

Exactly, but instead of ink it uses fast dying epoxy.

all 3d printers use some kind of plastic/fast drying epoxy, ink would be useless for making 3d objects

It would have to be pretty thick to withstand pressure, ideally it would need some carbon fibre wrap or similar. I think 3d printing is more useful for making say trigger components etc. than actual chambers or barrels that are readily available.

I suppose you could build pipe with epoxy, but why would you? Even a high strength epoxy like JB weld has just a little over half the tensile strength of PVC. Since this stuff would have to be fast curing, I imagine it would have significantly less strength, and I don't know how good the bond would be between layers.

if spudguns ever went to mass production one and two piece machined assembly parts would probably end up like something similar to this.
or fiberglass, like a boat hull.

Well if it were the same epoxy that is listed in the how-to-files then it would work. That epoxy is rated at like 1900lbs tensil strength.

Enough with the fucking epoxy!
It is never suitable as a structural building material for spudguns. The older people on the forums should know this.
Even if you found a mythical super-epoxy with extraordinary strength comparable to manufactured pvc pipe, it would still be at least 4-5 times the cost of pvc pipe.
