I found this 2" solenoid valve on a uk site, and before i buy it im just getting some feedback. So what does everyone reckon, can it be modded.
Click on 'further information' to see all the technical data.
Edit: Forgot to mention its the second valve down that comes in 3 sizes. 1", 1.5" and 2".

Bloody expensive and it has a guide rod, which could be difficult to mod, but there are a few tutorials on doing so.

True about the cost, for the same price you can build yourself a piston valve that will offer much better performance.

I've done it,they are fairly straight forward to modify much like a 1" sprinkler valve on steroids,so you need a bigger pilot valve bigger everything etc.But if you understand the workings of a sprinkler valve you can modify it easily.

You should look around a bit more I haven't seen any 2 inch sprinkler valves but I have a feeling they are cheaper than that since their 1" is almost 4 times as much as the one I bought after you convert currencies.

It should be fine, but i recommend doing the third one down on that page.

I thought about that, but it only comes in a 1" size, unless i were to get two (which would be alot cheaper) id be left with a flow problem. Not to mention if i had two, i would probably make up the rest of the cost of the 2" valve by getting fittings and twice as many reducers.
So i'll probably go with this 2" beast.
Thanks for your help everyone.
